

KoçyiÄŸit launched his professional career in 1998 within the Treasury Department of Yapı Kredi Bank. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, he initiated a venture in the food & beverage sector in 2002, which he eventually concluded in 2004 to pivot back to the financial markets.

Following a two-year tenure in the International Money Markets division at İş Investment, he joined Digiturk in early 2005 within the Sports Rights department. During his tenure as Vice President of Sports Rights, he orchestrated strategic collaborations and cultivated high-level institutional relationships with major sports clubs, federations, and prestigious international governing bodies, including UEFA, FIFA, and Euroleague.

In 2014, KoçyiÄŸit transitioned to Riot Games Turkey as the Head of Esports, subsequently serving as Marketing Director and Country Manager. Beyond overseeing the migration of Riot Games’ servers to Istanbul, he was instrumental in integrating major sports clubs such as Galatasaray, BeÅŸiktaÅŸ, and Fenerbahçe into the esports ecosystem by encouraging the formation of their League of Legends teams. Furthermore, he played a pivotal role in the development and construction of Europe’s largest dedicated esports arena in Istanbul.

Currently, KoçyiÄŸit serves as the Vice President of the Turkish Esports Federation (TESFED) and is a member of the Investment Committee at Two Zero VC, Turkey’s first sports-focused venture capital fund.

In 2020, he took an active leadership role as the Chairman of the Board in the founding of WePlay Ventures, Turkey’s first investment firm dedicated exclusively to the gaming industry. Under the WePlay HUB initiative, he established a gaming acceleration center covering Turkey, Europe, the Middle East, and the Turkic Republics, facilitating the growth of hundreds of gaming startups. He concluded his official tenure at WePlay at the end of 2025.

KoçyiÄŸit currently maintains a diverse portfolio of partnerships and ventures across e-commerce, game development, esports, technology, production, and sports investments. Notably, he also served Turkish football as a referee between 1997 and 2002. His career trajectory is defined by a dynamic and innovative approach to both entrepreneurship and the global sports industry.
